      Dear Friends,
       
      Tomorrow, June 3 is Saka Dawa Duchen, commemorating the anniversary of Shakyamuni's birth, enlightenment and parinirvana.  Due to the power of the holy deeds of the Buddha, who is a very powerful holy object, the effects of any positive and negative action multiplies 100 million times on this special Buddha day.  So it is a great day to engage in virtuous activities!  We have a full day of activities happening tomorrow and you are welcome to participate at any level!
       
      4.30am    Taking of Eight Mahayana Precepts & First session of Chenresig practice (Nyung Nay)
       
      8.30am    Second session of Chenresig Practice (Nyung Nay)
       
      2pm        Third session of Chenresig Practice (Nyung Nay)
       
      You are welcome to join in one or more session of the Chenresig Nyung Nay, a beautiful practice designed to enhance our practice of love and compassion, with making lots of prayers and requests to the lineage lamas, Chenresig, making offerings and prostrations. 
       
      5.30pm    Medicine Buddha Puja (for Rilbur Rinpoche's health)
       
      7pm       Heart Sutra Teaching by Venerable  George
       
      Other upcoming pujas:
      Lama Zopa Rinpoche advised that 8 Medicine Buddha Pujas to be done for Ribur Rinpoche's health - 4 at Land of Medicine Buddha and the other 4 at Vajrapani Institute.  The first Medicine Buddha Puja at Land of Medicine Buddha Puja will be done on June 3, 5pm.  The other three will be:
          Saturday: 10am at Memorial Shrine
          Sunday: 10am at Memorial Shrine
          Monday: 7pm at Land of Medicine Buddha
      All students are welcome and highly encouraged to come and join us for these pujas!
