Hi Ed... no, I didn't move the defalult empty log file; rather, I put my linux fldigi log in the wrong place. Thank you and thanks Ed both for your forbearance with a guy that should have read the dox first. All is working now.

File > fldigi config > logs
But, if you moved it, its hard to tell where it ended up.
Should work in M$ as well as Linux.
Some time reading the help files may be of some value.
