here in the south west of england we do suffer from this issue the lines become disconnected pretty regular they seem incapable of giving a constant service. we are aware of connection less type connections as a former employee of the company this has at times been really bad so yes it does happen.
we are promised optic fibre but it never comes into being.
so yes it does and is a real issue here in england. with the company posting the helpdesk off shore in INDIA so therefore the company has distance itself from it's problems and just are not available to take the flack they generate.
thank you for your comments but on the this occiasion we do know what is going on poor service.
there would be no point in swapping to another supplier if the main service can't even deliver a good service.
