      It is quite difficult to understand the underlying issue without knowing the actual chronological events. However, I would suggest to try to compile using GNU compiler and see if that helps.

      Else, you might have to look into the C code to see the reference of the variable/symbol bot_display if it was initialize before the code tries to access it. 

      Also, make sure that you are including all the libraries while configuring itself.
