                you're welcome, I have an Inspiron 7500. As I probably mentioned before,
                I refrained from installing the explore2fs-thing, because I did not want
                to take the risk of damadging anything - never change a running system.
                And as I work with linux most of the time there was no need to use the
                explore2fs. In case I need something under my win98 OS, I copy the
                respective file(s) from linux and reboot with lilo.
