      Hi -

I just wanted to clarify on if the specs on your laptop, Linux
      version/kernel,
and video card match mine. I'm still having problems with X starting up
when I tried using your settings...

      This is what I've got:
      Linux 6.0 (kernel 2.2.5-15 on an i686)
      Dell Latitude Cpi R-series
      NeoMagic 256ZX Video Card, 4MB

      Any suggestions?

      Thanks!
