I have read a lot about how to setup my winmodem in my Inspiron but I
can't do it. I have installed ltmodem but with my new Inspiron I'm stuck
My system is:
-Linux 2.6.8-2-686 #1 i686 GNU/Linux
-lspci | grep Modem:
0000:00:1f.6 Modem: Intel Corp. 82801DB/DBL/DBM (ICH4/ICH4-L/ICH4-M)
AC'97 Modem Controller (rev 01)
-lsmod | grep "slamr":
slamr 409064 2
I've install without problem slmodem-2.9.10.tar.gz (last version).
I've tried even with alsa support (this doesn't work). Firstly, is
this the right driver? I think so but I wonder if anybody has this
After doing " /usr/sbin/slmodemd --country=SPAIN /dev/slamr0 " I tried
with wvdial and the answer is:
ATQ0 V1 E1 S0=0 &C1 &D2 +FCLASS=0
I think that modem driver is not well installed but I don't know why.
Does anybody know what's the problem.
0000:00:1f.6 Modem: Intel Corp. 82801DB/DBL/DBM (ICH4/ICH4-L/ICH4-M) AC'97 Modem Controller (rev 01) (prog-if 00 [Generic])

it works with 2.9.9d-alsa version with alsa-support.
