Redhat 8.0 on a Dell Latitude D505
- I'm having difficulties booting Redhat 8.0 on my D505. It installs
ok, but hangs before mounting any partitions. I tried booting single
user mode to see if it bypasses the issue of PCMCIA incompatibilities.
No luck there. I'm wondering what to do next.
Dell Utility hda1
Windows XP hda2
Extended Partition hda4
I'm bad putting everything under root, but after resolving several cd
burning issues I just wanted to make sure I could install a distro.
I did get Mandrake running earlier, but had problems X, probably video
drivers. I would prefer RH8.0 at this point in time.
