Use a canned air blower to blow off the dust from the display and the
keyboards. Then spray some window cleaner* on a paper towel (facial tissues
and toilet paper are too linty) and lightly wipe the display and other
surfaces. Don't spray the cleaner directly on the display for obvious
reasons; don't saturate the cloth or paper used to clean, either.

Body grease tends to accumulate on the keyboard and wrist rest. Occasional
cleaning of the surfaces helps keep that clean too. (laptop keyboards are
dark so the grime doesn't show. Take a close look at your standard beige
      desktop keyboard sometime, though.)

[*Some brands of window cleaner can be harsh on the plastic coatings used
on CRTs and possibly laptop displays. If in doubt, spend for specialised
display-cleaning solution, or just use distilled water plus a little lemon
      or distilled vinegar.]

So, to make this slightly more on-topic: Has anybody got KDE 2 and Xfree 4
      running happily on a 3800 in 1024x768/24bit?
