      Hi, I did what you said Scott and here are the results:

      1) first I typed wvdial and this was the result

      [root@localhost root]# wvdial

      --> WvDial: Internet dialer version 1.53
      --> Warning: section [Dialer Defaults] does not exist in wvdial.conf.
      --> Cannot open /dev/modem: Input/output error
      --> Cannot open /dev/modem: Input/output error
      --> Cannot open /dev/modem: Input/output error

      2) then I did the second thing but it stays at "USB15" and it doesn´t
      create the file, I got this directly from the shell

      [root@localhost root]# wvdialconf /root/D*/testconf
      Scanning your serial ports for a modem.
      Port Scan<*1>: Scanning ttySHSF0 first, /dev/modem is a link to it.
