I'm looking to buy an inspiron soon, but I don't want to buy a copy of Windows
(I intend to run Linux exclusively).

Has anybody persuaded Dell to sell a laptop without Windows
      installed for a reduced price?

Has anybody recently managed to get a refund on an unused copy of Windows
(presumably the XP Home EULA still has the "if you don't agree, return for
a refund" clause) from any companies, either from OEMs like Dell or direct
      from Microsoft?

      Many thanks

      Chris Howells
