  • If anyone saw the article in today's Lincoln paper I want you to know that as sometimes happens with the media I was misquoted. When asked what other activities I enjoyed I mentioned that I was "ONE OF" of the founding members of the Lincoln Knitting Guild. As you know getting the Guild started was very much a group effort and I wasn't trying to take more credit than my due...

  • Congratulations to the guild members who won ribbons at the state fair. I am not listing them because I can't seem to get to the webpage that lists the winners and don't want to leave anyone out. If anyone has a good list please post it; also I bet there were some winners at the county fair and it would be nice to know those too. Mary Pat

  • I also ordered a wooden one from Julie's information. It is great. The information in Yarn Harlot's Blog might not be current so use Julie's information but here is a picture of what we are talking about. Hope the picture comes through on the list. The padded envelope with the phallic shaped object inside? Not what you think. (I already have a hobby.) A sock-in-progress suitcase...

  • It is called "Twist". Check it out http://www.twistcol lective.com/ magazinepage_ 027.php . I think it is kind of like "Knitty" but you need to pay for the patterns. The patterns look nice and there is a good size range. The articles are also very good. Mary Pat

  • They do stock Addi Turbo's. You could call her 489-8550. I have never seen circulars in 14" - that is a standard length for straight needles. I have found the Knitpicks needles to be a good investment because it gives you so many choices and that I'm never without a circular length that I need.
