Re: [lincolnknitters] The Knitting Guild Needs YOU!
- Tana, I would be willing to serve in some capacity. I am Treasurer for Sewing For Babies and could do that. I would like to see programs on planning fair isle for sweaters and darning or other fixes for garments etc. I tried to click on your email address, but I'm at the library computer and it wouldn't let me. Subject: [lincolnknitters] The Knitting Guild Needs YOU!
The Knitting Guild needs two or three people to lead out for the 2010 year. I think it would be best if we elect these officers at the November meeting since attendance at the December meeting tends to be sparse with all of the other things going on during the Holiday season.
We also need input from members as to the types of programs you would like to see. Would you like to work through a swatch book together? The Omaha group is working through a book with color swatches. Are there specific techniques you would be interested in learning more about? Would you like to see more projects like the Pumpkin done at the October meeting that can be completed at the guild meeting? Any and all ideas are very helpful for leadership as they plan activities for the new year.
Ideally, I would like to put together a list of candidates so those who cannot attend the meeting for some reason can still vote if they wish. If you are interested in being a candidate, please email me off-list at tana.pageler@ gmail.com.
