Au contraire.... it's because VISTA does not recognize help files. All downloads of Liberty Basic include a comprehensive help file.
I have VISTA on my laptop, much to my dislike. However the helpfiles for Liberty Basic and Just Basic work just fine, because I went to this page, http://justbasic.conforums.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&num=1172024305 and followed Stefan Pendl's advice to download WinHelp32.exe from Microsoft.
VISTA is a pain in the butt, but we can work around that. : - (
