Disney is just an entertainment company.

It isn't a "fine arts" institution.

You seem to have a problem with this commercialism.

      Your idealism is obvious.

        Jim,

        I don't have a problem with anything - I don't like what Disney represents,
fakery and hype, and if your attempt to come to terms with that causes you
to categorise me in the way you do then it's your problem not mine. I'm not
concerned what bracket you put on Disney as an excuse for their methods - I
don't like what they do - I make no apologies for it, seek no
rationalisation position and don't want to psychoanalysed - and I don't
expect everyone 100% to agree with me.

Disney's 'Alice' is a travesty of the original but if people like it then
it's up to them, I'd not stand in the way of anyone buying trash, it's their
        money not mine.

        Keith

Some may not have fully understood your meaning.

"What I tell you three times is true" may work if you tell it for the
          third time.

I just love it when people say the same negative thing over and over.

I am going to step in here.

First comment is to Keith. Your thoughts about Disney are certainly
valid in as much as they are your opinion and you have a right to
express it to the same degree as anyone else. However, exception can
be taken to HOW you express it. I feel that the tone of your posts on
the subject are somewhat abrasive and derisive to those who may be
indifferent to Disney's interpretation, or those who may enjoy it.
Furthermore, what constitutes trash is subjective. The fact that you
consider it so does not mean that others do, or that they have to
agree with you. You are perfectly at liberty to continue the
discussion, but I would ask you to consider using less entrenched
            language.

Now to Jim. I get the feeling from your posts that you are baiting
keith. Please reconsider that. I am perfectly happy for the
conversation to continue, but would prefer it to be based on reasoned
            argument.

I was emphasizing the abrasive and derisive nature of the remarks of
