Ottawa Senators Summer Hockey Camps presented by Canadian Tire
The Ottawa Senators Summer Hockey Camps presented by Canadian Tire provide world-class instruction, both on and off the ice. With 45 camps available at three facilities across Ottawa, there are options for every player and goaltender (elite, competitive, house league, and beginner) anywhere in the city.
All camps offer a fun, safe, and supportive environment designed to help each player improve their abilities. The 2014 camp lineup also boasts deep ties with the Ottawa Senators organization. Last year’s camps featured guest appearances by Sens players and alumni, such as Bobby Ryan, Chris Neil, Kyle Turris, Marc Methot, Mika Zibanejad, Jason Smith, and Todd White, and weekly visits from the Sens Street Tour.
Register now for one of the many camps being offered at the Bell Sensplex, Cavanagh Sensplex, and the brand-new Richcraft Sensplex in Ottawa’s east end, opening August 5th.

Grab your friends and running shoes and register for Hockey Night in Canada’s Play On! 4-On-4 Street Hockey Tournament. Hundreds of teams of various skill levels and ages will be participating in what is sure to be a great weekend of ball hockey at Canadian Tire Centre.
The 10th annual Scotiabank Girls HockeyFest hosted 300+ girls for a free hockey clinic on March 23rd. Olympians Cassie Campbell-Pascall and Tessa Bonhomme led the all-day event which was comprised of on and off ice hockey drills and a session focused on the importance of giving back to the community.
Less than 100 days remain until the opening of the Richcraft Sensplex in the East end of Ottawa. The new east-end facility will be a four-pad ice surface complex that will incorporate the existing J.B. Potvin Arena at 813 Shefford Road. Get to Know Your Sens
This drill can run on both sides at the same time.
- Forwards start either on the goal line or hash marks, depending on skill/age level.
- The defencemen start at the top of the circle.
- On the whistle, the forwards take off and try to beat the defencemen wide.
- The defencemen have to skate backwards to at least the red line and try to angle the attacking forward into the corner.
- Make sure to switch sides and to give everyone an opportunity as forward and defensemen.
