Home Opener: TONIGHT at 7:30 pm vs. Belleville

It`s been an off-season of hard training and skating for the 67's and the OHL regular season is finally here!

The 67`s look to build off an impressive preseason where they posted a 3-1 record. Victories included back-to-back 4-1 wins in a home-and-home series with Gatineau, as well as a gritty 4-2 win over the Belleville Bulls.

The 67's are back for a second season at the newly named Canadian Tire Centre (formerly Scotiabank Place) and look to take advantage of an extended home stand - 9 out of the first 10 games are at home.

      67's Announce Leadership Group

On Tuesday afternoon, Head Coach and GM Chris Byrne introduced Ryan Van Stralen, Taylor Fielding, and Joseph Blandisi at a press conference as the three alternate captains for the 2013-14 season. With Captain Sean Monahan still with the Calgary Flames, the alternates will be looked upon to provide leadership both on-and-off the ice. Press Conference Video

The 67's will kick-off the season tonight (Sept 20th) at 7:30 vs. the Belleville Bulls followed by a tilt vs. North Bay on Sunday (Sept 22) at 2:00 pm.

      Game Previews

Watch Ryan Van Stralen and Brett Gustavsen talk about the new season on CTV Morning Live

      TONIGHT @ 7:30 vs. Belleville:

Travis Konecny (1st Overall, 2013 OHL Draft), Alex Lintuniemi (2nd Overall, 2013 CHL Import Draft), and Troy Henley (2nd round, 2013 OHL draft) will all wear the barberpole for the first time. The 67's also welcome back a veteran group that includes overagers Ryan Van Stralen and Clint Windsor. Dante Salituro, the 67's leading rookie socerer from last year, local boy Andrew Abou-Assaly, and defenseman Jacob Middleton (2014 NHL draft-eligible) all look to make an impact in their sophmore seasons.

A heated preseason matchup with the Bulls in Smiths Falls last week should make for a very competitive home opener.

      Sept 22nd @ 2:00 vs. North Bay:

The Battalion are back - except this time they're traveling from North Bay instead of Brampton. The Battalion relocated to North Bay in the offseason and make their only visit to the Canadian Tire Centre this Sunday. Make sure to follow us on Twitter for play-by-play of the game!

Friday, September 27th @ 7:30 PM vs. Plymouth

Sunday, September 29th @ 2:00 PM vs. Niagara

      See you at the rink!
