Oilers Sign Roy & Tremblay
General Manager Steve Tambellini announced Wednesday the Edmonton Oilers have agreed to terms with goaltender Olivier Roy on a three-year entry level contract. Free agent left-winger Hunter Tremblay was also signed Thursday on a one-year two-way contract.
Voice Your Opinion – Downtown Arena District
On Wednesday, April 6, 2011 Edmonton’s City Council will be making a very important vote on the future of the Downtown Arena District. As proud Oilers fans and Edmontonians who will benefit from the revitalization of our downtown core and a new arena, now is the chance to make your voice heard.
Please email 311@... or call 311 to show your support for Edmonton’s downtown arena before April 6 to let City Hall know where you stand on this important issue.
Rod Phillips Calls Final Game
Voice of the Oilers, Rod Phillips, called his final game of his 37-year career this Tuesday as Edmonton hosted the Los Angeles Kings. A special pre-game ceremony was held for the Hockey Hall of Famer which included a tribute to Rod and his family and a banner raised in his honour dressed with the number 3542, representing the number of games Rod has called.
