      Hockey Hall of Famer
      Mike Gartner Returns for
      2010 Capitals Convention

Mike Gartner has confirmed his attendance at the second annual Capitals Convention presented by GEICO on Saturday, Oct. 2 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center. Gartner, who had his number 11 retired on Dec. 28, 2008, ranks second in Caps history in goals (397), assists (392) and points (789). Gartner, along with Peter Bondra, Nelson Burton, Olie Kolzig, Yvon Labre, Rod Langway, Dennis Maruk, Paul Mulvey, Errol Rausse, Blair Stewart, Ryan Walter and Bernie Wolfe, are all confirmed to be at the Convention this year.

Don't forget that the Convention will be the first place to see players model the Capitals Winter Classic uniform and pick up 2011 Winter Classic merchandise. A number of Capitals stars and alumni will be posing for Verizon photos at the convention. On Sept. 8, Convention ticket holders will be able to purchase posed Verizon photo passes in advance for $25.

The Convention Center is located in front of the Mt. Vernon Square/7th Street Convention Center stop with access to the Green and Yellow lines. Tickets are going fast for the Convention; log on to WashingtonCaps.com to buy tickets today before they are sold out. CLICK HERE for more details on the event.
