in Exchange for Logan MacMillanDucks Also Sign Goaltender Jean-Philippe Levasseur to One-Year Contract ExtensionSyracuse, NY (June 30, 2010) – The Syracuse Crunch announced today that the Anaheim Ducks have acquired left wing Jason Jaffray from the Calgary Flames in exchange for left wing Logan MacMillan. Either club could also receive a seventh-round selection in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft in the trade (the pick is conditional for both clubs). In addition, the Ducks have signed goaltender Jean-Philippe Levasseur to a one-year contract extension. As per club policy, no financial terms of the deal were disclosed.Jaffray, 29, appeared in 72 games with Abbotsford last season, leading the team in scoring with 54 points (25g, 29a) while adding 70 penalty minutes and a club-high plus-24 rating. He has skated in 372 career AHL games with Norfolk, Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, Manitoba and Abbotsford, collecting 304 points (116g, 163a) and 306 penalty minutes. In addition, Jaffray has added 47 points (24g, 23a) in 61 career Calder Cup Playoff games, all with ManitobaOther highlights of Jaffray’s AHL career include a trip to the Calder Cup Finals with the Moose during the 2008-09 season, where he recorded a hat trick in Game 2 vs. Hershey, and being selected as an AHL Second Team All-Star during the 2006-07 campaign after registering 81 points (35g, 46a) in 77 games. A native of Rimbey, Alberta, Jaffray has also appeared in 36 career NHL contests with Calgary and Vancouver, notching 10 points (4g, 6a) and 33 penalty minutes.MacMillan, 20, appeared in seven games with Abbotsford last season, collecting seven penalty minutes. In addition, he skated in 30 games with Bakersfield (ECHL) last year, tallying six points (2g, 4a) and 20 penalty minutes. A native of Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, MacMillan was selected by Anaheim in the first round, 19th overall, in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft.Levasseur, 23, appeared in 25 games with Springfield last season, posting an 8-16-1 record with a 3.59 goals against average, .896 save percentage and one shutout. In addition, he also appeared in five contests with Bakersfield (ECHL), going 2-3-0 with a 3.63 goals against average and .903 save percentage, and 16 games with Laredo (CHL), going 10-3-3 with a 2.31 goals against average and .919 save percentage. He also skated in six ECHL playoff contests with Bakersfield, registering a 3-3 mark with a 2.61 goals against average.Selected by Anaheim in the seventh round (197th overall) of the 2005 NHL Entry Draft, Levasseur has appeared in 76 career AHL contests with Portland, Iowa and Springfield, going 25-39-6 with a 3.19 goals against average and .892 save percentage.A native of Victoriaville, Quebec, Levasseur played four seasons of junior hockey with Rouyn-Noranda of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) from 2004-07, leading the league in wins in both 2005-06 (35) and 2006-07 (31).
