      Capitals launch video widget for fans to download

      Capitals Red Line Monday presented by Geico is a fast-paced, behind-the-scenes look at the team that will debut on Comcast SportsNet on Feb. 9 at 9:30 p.m. View the Capitals Red Line MondayPreview Here. Each episode will also be replayed on Comcast SportsNet and through On Demand where available.

      The Capitals have created a special video widget that will carry the entire show. Fans can download the widget onto their social network sites, including Facebook and MySpace, and watch the entire show. Washington has also launched the Capitals Red Line Monday webpage, on WashingtonCaps.com, where fans can keep updated with all of the information about upcoming shows or past episodes.

      On Monday, Feb. 9, before you watch Capitals Red Line Monday, join Capitals goaltender Jose Theodore for a special Q&A and autograph signing at the downtown ESPN Zone. Located at the corner of 11th & E streets NW from 7-8 p.m. Jose will answer your questions about his playing career, the Caps' season and just about any other hockey questions you may have.

      Hockey 'n Heels
      Hey ladies limited tickets are available for the Capitals Hockey 'n Heels cocktail party that is being held Wednesday, Feb. 25 from 6-8 p.m. at Front Page in Arlington, Va. Tickets are just $25, so get yours before they sell out. The Hockey 'n Heels instructional session at Kettler Capitals Iceplex sold out in less than 24 hours. So ladies, don't miss the cocktail party and an opportunity to mingle with Capitals players, coaches and broadcasters. More …

      Viewing Party
      James Hoban Restaurant and Bar will host a viewing party for the Capitals game at New Jersey Tuesday night. The bar is located at 1 Dupont Circle NW in Washington, D.C. and will feature food and drink specials.

      Caps on Tap
      The Caps will host a Caps on Tap Bar Tour this Saturday, February 7 before the game versus Florida. Registration will take place at RFD Washington, 810 7th St. NW. Wristbands for drink specials at all participating locations will cost $5 with a Caps game ticket for that day and $7 without a game ticket.

      Capitals at Devils

      TV: VERSUS
      Radio: Caps Radio 1500 & 820

      The Capitals will close out their season series with New Jersey tonight. The Caps hold a 1-0-2 record against the Devils this season and a one-point lead for second place in the Eastern Conference. Alex Ovechkin has recorded six points (three goals, three assists) in three games against the Devils this season. Nicklas Backstrom also set a personal-best for points in a game (five) with a goal and four assists against the Devils Nov. 15.

      Thursday, Feb. 5 - 7 p.m.
      Capitals vs Kings

      TV: Comcast SportsNet
      Radio: Caps Radio 1500 & 820

      The Kings will make their only stop to the Verizon Center and first visit since Feb. 8, 2007. The Capitals look to avenge their 5-2 loss in Los Angeles on Nov. 20. Washington got goals from Nicklas Backstrom and Brooks Laich, while Dustin Brown and Martin Handzus recorded a goal and an assist each for the Kings. Los Angeles is one of only two NHL teams (San Jose is the other) that Alex Ovechkin has not scored a goal against.

      Capitals vs Panthers .

      Radio: Caps Radio 1500 & 820
      Washington welcomes the Florida Panthers for the second of three meetings between these two teams at Verizon Center. The Capitals look to rebound against the Panthers who gave them their first home loss of the season on Dec. 2. Gregory Campbell, Radek Dvorak and Ville Peltonen each recorded a goal and an assist for the Panthers as the Caps got a goal and an assist from Nicklas Backstrom, Tomas Fleischmann and Viktor Kozlov.
