      Syracuse, NY (October 9, 2008) – The Syracuse Crunch announced today that the Columbus Blue Jackets have recalled right wing Derek Dorsett and reassigned defenseman Trevor Hendrikx and right wing Petr Pohl to Johnstown (ECHL).
       
      In addition, the Crunch have loaned center Ryan Garlock to Johnstown.
       
      Dorsett, 21, appeared in 64 games for the Crunch last season, tallying 10 goals, eight assists and 289 penalty minutes. A native of Kindersley, Saskatchewan, Dorsett was drafted by Columbus in the seventh round, 189th overall, in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft.
       
      Hendrikx, 23, appeared in 72 games for Elmira (ECHL) last season, registering eight goals, 23 assists and 170 penalty minutes. A native of Russell, Ontario, Hendrikx was drafted by Columbus in the seventh round, 201st overall, in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft.
       
      Pohl, 22, appeared in two games with the Crunch last season. He also appeared in seven games with Dayton (ECHL) last year, registering one goal and eight assists. He also skated in 56 games for Youngstown (CHL) last season, recording 24 goals, 41 assists and 28 penalty minutes. A native of Prostejov, Czech Republic, Pohl was drafted by Columbus in the fifth round, 133rd overall, in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft.
       
      Garlock, 22, appeared in 51 games for Johnstown last season, piling up 26 goals, 35 assists and 61 penalty minutes. He also skated in 14 combined American Hockey League games with Binghamton, Hershey and Springfield, recording three assists and 10 penalty minutes.
                 
      The Crunch open their 15th AHL season with a home-and-home series against their I-90 rivals, the Rochester Americans. The teams will face-off at the Blue Cross Arena on Friday, October 10, followed by the Crunch’s home opener at the War Memorial at Oncenter on Saturday, October 11 at 7:30 p.m. Season and single-game tickets are available by calling the Crunch office at (315) 473-4444.

        Syracuse, NY (December 19, 2008) – The Syracuse Crunch announced today that the Columbus Blue Jackets have recalled left wing Mike York and returned defenseman Clay Wilson to the Crunch. In addition, the Crunch have signed left wing Mike Sgroi to a professional tryout contract.
         
        York, 30, has appeared in all 28 games for the Crunch this season, leading the club in scoring with seven goals, 16 assists and 10 penalty minutes. A native of Waterford, Michigan, York was signed by Columbus as a free agent on July 25, 2008.
         
        Wilson, 25, has appeared in 23 games with the Crunch this season, leading all defensemen on the club in scoring with eight goals, seven assists and four penalty minutes. He has also skated in five games with Columbus this year, tallying one assist.
         
        Sgroi, 30, has appeared in four games with Johnstown (ECHL) this season, notching two goals. Sgroi was invited to the Crunch’s training camp and suffered a broken hand during a pre-season game on October 2 vs. Rochester. He appeared in 16 games for the Crunch during the 2005-06 season, registering two goals, one assist and 32 penalty minutes. 
         
        The Crunch’s next game is Friday, December 18 as they travel to Binghamton to take on the Senators at 7:05 p.m.  The Crunch return home on Saturday, December 20 for a 7:30 p.m. contest against the Lake Erie Monsters.  Tickets can be purchased by calling the Crunch office at 315-473-4444, stopping by the Oncenter Box Office, located on the State Street side of the War Memorial or by calling Ticketmaster at 315-472-0700.

          Syracuse, NY (March 10, 2009) – The Syracuse Crunch announced today that defenseman Andrey Plekhanov is expected to miss 6-8 weeks with a separated shoulder and defenseman Kyle Wharton is expected to miss 4-6 weeks with a broken thumb. Both injuries occurred in games this past weekend. In addition, the Columbus Blue Jackets have reassigned defensemen Trevor Hendrikx and Jon Landry to Syracuse from Johnstown and the Crunch have signed defenseman Nick St. Pierre to an amateur tryout contract.
           
          Plekhanov, 22, has appeared in 54 games with the Crunch this season, tallying two goals, 17 assists and 50 penalty minutes. A native of Nizhnekamsk, Russia, Plekhanov was drafted by Columbus in the third round, 96th overall, in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft.
           
          Wharton, 23, has appeared in 18 games with the Crunch this season, notching one goal, two assists and 14 penalty minutes. He has also skated in 17 games with Johnstown (ECHL) this year, collecting two goals, six assists and 22 penalty minutes. A native of Ottawa, Ontario, Wharton was drafted by Columbus in the second round, 59th overall, in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft.
           
          Hendrikx, 23, has appeared in two games for the Crunch this season, recording seven penalty minutes. He has also skated in 37 games for Johnstown this year, racking up six goals, 10 assists and 107 penalty minutes. A native of Russell, Ontario, Hendrikx was originally drafted by Columbus in the ninth round, 283rd overall, in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft.
           
          Landry, 24, has appeared in 11 games for the Crunch this season, notching one assist and 12 penalty minutes. He has also skated in 41 games with Johnstown this year, registering seven goals, 15 assists and 49 penalty minutes. A native of Lexington, Massachusetts, Landry was signed by Columbus as a free agent on March 19, 2007.
           
          St. Pierre, 24, appeared in 36 games with Colgate (ECAC) this year, recording four goals, 13 assists and 28 penalty minutes.

                Syracuse, NY (October 13, 2009) – The Syracuse Crunch announced today that they have loaned left wing Tim Miller to Gwinnett (ECHL). In addition, the Crunch have released goaltender Dan Tormey from his professional tryout contract.
                 
                Miller, 22, appeared in one game with the Crunch last season, tallying one goal, his first as a professional, April 11 vs. Rochester. A native of Davisburg, Michigan, Miller was signed by the Crunch to an American Hockey League contract on October 1.
                 
                Tormey, 24, appeared in six games with Minnesota State – Mankato last season, going 1-3-0 with a 3.87 goals against average and .878 save percentage. A native of Syracuse, NY, Tormey attended the Crunch’s 2009-10 Training Camp on a tryout basis.

                  Syracuse, NY (March 16, 2010) – The Syracuse Crunch announced today that the Columbus Blue Jackets have assigned right wing Maksim Mayorov to the Crunch. In addition, The Crunch have recalled left wing Tim Miller from Gwinnett (ECHL) and released right wing Simon Ferguson.
                   
                  Mayorov, 20, has appeared in 61 games with the Crunch this season, tallying 11 goals, 12 assists and 18 penalty minutes. In addition, he has skated in four games with Columbus this year. A native of Andizhan, Russia, Mayorov was selected by Columbus in the fourth round, 94th overall, in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft.
                   
                  Miller, 23, has appeared in 12 games with the Crunch season, recording one goal, one assist and 11 penalty minutes. In addition, Miller has skated in 44 games with Gwinnett this year, totaling 15 goals, 20 assist and 103 penalty minutes. A native of Davisburg, Michigan, Miller was signed by the Crunch to an AHL contract on October 1, 2009.
                   
                  Ferguson, 26, has appeared in 42 games with the Crunch this season, notching six assists and 102 penalty minutes. Ferguson was on his third 25-game professional tryout contract of the season with the Crunch after originally being signed by the club on November 6, 2009.

                      Syracuse, NY (November 1, 2010) – The Syracuse Crunch announced today that they have signed right wing Shean Donovan to a professional tryout contract. As per club policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.  In addition, the club has loaned left wing John Mitchell to Elmira (ECHL).
                       
                      Donovan, 35, appeared in 30 games with the Ottawa Senators last season, recording five points (2g, 3a) and 40 penalty minutes. A veteran of 16 professional seasons, Donovan has skated in 951 career NHL games with San Jose, Colorado, Atlanta, Pittsburgh, Calgary, Boston, and Ottawa, tallying 241 points (112g, 129a) and 705 penalty minutes.
                       
                      Donovan’s best season came during the 2003-04 campaign when he registered 42 points (18g, 24 a) and 72 penalty minutes in 82 games as a member of the Calgary Flames. In addition, he contributed 10 points (5g, 5a) in 24 playoff games, helping Calgary to an appearance in the Stanley Cup Finals.  A native of Timmins, Ontario, Donovan was originally selected by San Jose in the second round, 28th overall, in the 1993 NHL Entry Draft.

                      Mitchell, 24, has appeared in four games for the Crunch this season and made his professional debut on October 8 at Lake Erie. Prior to turning pro, Mitchell spent four years at the University of Wisconsin from 2006-10, racking up 61 points (32g, 29a) in 139 contests.
                       
                      A native of Neenah, Wisconsin, Mitchell skated in 74 combined United States Hockey League (USHL) contests with Tri-City, Green Bay and Indiana from 2004-06, recording 17 points (9g, 8a). He was signed by the Crunch to an American Hockey League contract on July 22, 2010.
                       
                      The Crunch hit the road this week with games in Springfield on Friday, November 5 and Wilkes-Barre/Scranton on Saturday, November 6. Syracuse’s next home game is on Saturday, November 13 when they battle Hershey at 7:30 p.m. at the War Memorial at Oncenter. Season tickets for the 2010-11 season are now on sale and can be purchased by calling the Crunch office at (315) 473- 4444, or by stopping by the Crunch office in the War Memorial at Oncenter, located at 800 South State Street in downtown Syracuse.

                        Syracuse, NY (November 5, 2010) – The Syracuse Crunch announced today that they have recalled center Oren Eizenman from Elmira (ECHL).   In addition, the club has released right wing Shean Donovan from his professional tryout contract.
                         
                        Eizenman, 25, has appeared eight games with Elmira this season and is tied for second on the Jackals and fourth in the ECHL in scoring with 11 points (3g, 8a). He has appeared in 46 career AHL games with Milwaukee, Worcester, Manitoba and San Antonio since the 2007-08 season, accumulating nine points (2g, 7a) and 10 penalty minutes. A native of Toronto, Ontario, Eizenman was signed by the Crunch to an American Hockey League contract on June 1, 2010.

                          Eizenman, 25, appeared in three games with the Crunch this past weekend, making his Syracuse debut on Friday, November 5 at Springfield. In addition, he has skated in eight contests with Elmira this year, totaling 11 points (3g, 8a) and two penalty minutes. 
                           
                          Eizenman has appeared in 49 combined AHL games with the Crunch, Milwaukee, Worcester, Manitoba and San Antonio since 2007-08, recording nine points (2g, 7a) and 10 penalty minutes. A native of Toronto, Ontario, Eizenman was signed by the Crunch to an American Hockey League contract on June 1, 2010.
                           
                          Perry, 23, appeared in two games for the Crunch this past weekend, making his Syracuse debut on Saturday, November 6 in a 4-3 win at Wilkes-Barre/Scranton. In addition, he has skated in nine games with Elmira this year, notching six points (4g, 2a) and six penalty minutes.
                           
                           Perry has skated in 13 combined AHL games with the Crunch and San Antonio since the 2008-09 campaign, notching three points (1g, 2a) and 19 penalty minutes. A native of Peterborough, Ontario, Perry was signed by the Crunch to an American Hockey League contract on July 22, 2010.

                            Syracuse, NY (December 1, 2010) – The Syracuse Crunch announced today that the Anaheim Ducks have reassigned left wing Josh Brittain from Syracuse to Elmira (ECHL). In addition, the Crunch have assigned left wing John Kurtz to Elmira.
                             
                            Brittain, 20, has appeared in 10 games with the Crunch this season, posting one assist and 43 penalty minutes. Brittain appeared in 68 combined Ontario Hockey League (OHL) contests with Barrie and Plymouth in 2009-10, tallying 32 points (15g, 17a) and 130 penalty minutes. A native of Milton, Ontario, Brittain was selected by Anaheim in the third round, 71st overall, in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.
                             
                            Kurtz, 21, has appeared in 15 games with the Crunch this season, recording one assist and 28 penalty minutes. Kurtz skated in 62 games with Sudbury (OHL) in 2009-10, registering 46 points (30g, 16a) and 59 penalty minutes. He was signed by the Crunch to an amateur tryout contract on March 29, 2009 and made his professional debut on March 31, 2009 vs. Hershey. A native of Oakville, Ontario, Kurtz was signed by the Crunch to an American Hockey League contract on September 1, 2010.
                             
                            The Crunch’s next game in on Friday, December 3 vs. Rochester at 7:35 p.m. at the Blue Cross Arena.  The Crunch return home after a four-game road trip to battle Adirondack on Friday, December 10 at 7:30 p.m. Season and single-game tickets for the 2010-11 season are on sale and can be purchased by calling the Crunch office at (315) 473- 4444, or by stopping by the Crunch office in the War Memorial at Oncenter, located at 800 South State Street in downtown Syracuse.
