incarcerated in a mental hospital for jumping off a bridge with her
infant daughter.
Subject to excruciating experiments by psychiatrist, Dr. Peterson,
Beverly seems
completely disoriented, and the fact that she claims that she
is "Allison Dubois" from
the year 2005 only seems to confirm her insanity. Allison's
terrifying nightmares, in
which she takes Beverly's place in the mental institution, are
actually Beverly's cry
for help. A psychic herself, the much misunderstood and wronged
Beverly is now
reaching out to Allison across the decades to save a loved one in

[MAGGIE FULTON] In her late 40s, this defense attorney, assertive,
direct,
conscientious, is a enormously likeable woman who is deeply committed
to her job.
Convinced that her murderous client, Timothy Kendrick, is genuinely
insane, she is
determined to get Kendrick off on an insanity plea. When Maggie later
learns that
she has been duped, she is properly outraged. Diagnosed with a rare
liver disorder,
which causes her to have some good days, and some bad days, Maggie is
unable to
find the proper tissue donor -- until Allison steps in with some
startling information

[DR. PETERSON] 40 to 45, seen in Allison's psychic nightmares, this
misguided,
eerily calm, impassioned doctor is the head of a psychiatric hospital
in the late
1950s. Peterson routinely subjects his patients, including the

Waller, to electroshock therapy, ice baths, and other forms
of "psychiatric torture."

married grandmother with a serene and stable life. Years ago, Candace

Beverly jump off a bridge, supposedly with her infant daughter in her
arms.
Forgiving and loving, Candace tells Allison of Beverly's motivation
for such a rash

psychiatric
hospital where he is currently researching his thesis about the now

discredited Dr. Peterson. Obviously a bit smitten with Allison, he

[TIMOTHY KENDRICK] 19 to 24, a wealthy, privileged, spoiled young man
who
recently brutally murdered both his parents, he has the darting eyes
and dissociative
manner of the genuinely insane. However, as Allison later learns,
Timothy actually
killed for gain, and is now feigning insanity -- quite brilliantly --
to get away with

police officers become highly suspicious about Allison's erratic

a bad temper but considerable chops as a fighter, he was a protege of
Dalton's a while back
but has since decided he was unfairly thrown out (he was stealing
from the till) and deserves
the Black Pelican for himself--hopefully with the chance to kill

Beau's cousin (much to her digust), Bill does in fact dispatch
Dalton, in his hospital room no
less, but he's no match for Shane...LEAD
[LUTHOR KEYES] 30s, a hardass without a hint of humor, Luthor is the
second in command
after Dalton at The Black Pelican, and he's in charge when Dalton
winds up in the hospital. A
brawler, tough and strong but not really well trained, Luthor knows
which side his bread is
buttered on and is firmly in the pocket of Bill Tequierry. In fact,
Luthor slips Bill information
about Shane all along, giving Bill the advantage when Shane has
something planned. Luthor
winds up going one on one in a fight with Shane, who eventually gets
the information he

[NADJA] In her 20s, braided, pierced and crazy as hell, she's one of
Bill's top enforcers and is
a cousin of Beau's as well. A vengeful, bullying kind of gal, a first
rate martial artist, Nadja

STORY LINE: When 5-year-old Alex's parents give her a beautiful

Mom and Dad are completely out of touch with Alex's interests,
absorbed instead
with their obsessions (Mom adores sheep, Dad is into trains) and

middle-of-the-road lives. Neither Kent nor Babs have a sense of
personal style or unborrowed
opinions, but accept the status quo fed to them by popular TV,
Reader's
Digest, QVC and Home Improvement channels. Alex hasn't started school
and
therefore has not been exposed to the outside world, only the
strangely warped
world of her parents, who have stuffed their home with collectibles
and treat her like
one as well. The story explores the moment she starts challenging her
parents'
authority and coming into her own consciousness.
