The workshop held from 17th - 19th December, 2006, was part of the preparation for the set-up of the Winneba Open Digital Village (WODiV) in 2007. It was sponsored by oneVillage Foundation-Ghana; University of Education, Winneba; Incentive Plus,Holland; Alpha College, Holland; and the Royal University of Groningen, Holland.

Participants comprised of the WiLUG; the staff of the ICT Center of UEW and selected project partners like the Wireless Ghana www.wirelessghana.com .

Pen drives were also given to participants.

Mr. Prebbie donated a PIII Computer running on kubuntu Operating System to be used for the server for the 50 networked PCs at the ICT Lab.

The climax was when members built parts of the template of the Winneba Open Digital Village (WODiV) Portal.

At the closing ceremony, certificates were presented to the participants after which the WiLUG Team Leader/Founder, Mr. Kafui A. Prebbie encouraged members to keep exploring in preparation towards the WODiV Project. He also officially informed participants of the World Summit on Free Information Infrastructure (WSFII Africa 2007) Summit and the 10-day Wireless Roadshow to be held at the University of Education, Winneba premises in July-August 2007.

This was followed by a socialisation session that gave the opportunity to participants to network and to show their appreciation to the consultant and the OVF-Ghana Intern, Miss Annemeik Neiborg who was the workshop manager.
