- Sgt Troy, as crafted by Chris George, is still a wonderful character more than 50 years after his and Tully's jeep leaped the dunes for the first time.
Sadly his alter-ego, Chris George, died suddenly 34 years ago today. A hard day, I'm sure, for his widow, Lynda Day George Cronin, and their children.
