Dear friends:

I hope you are all having a productive Summer and working on your different endeavors.

Some of you might know me as a friend, colleague, teacher, student or collaborator in one of your projects. As those of you who know me will tell you, I have been working on my documentary "Looking for George" for many years, finally making strides when a prominent distributor recently requested the film for viewing. As it turns out however, last week, as we were working on its last touches, our Apple editing system broke down (Murphy's Law right?).

We had originally opened an Indiegogo campaign several months ago but, as some of you know, my mother died and I had to take some months off for it. Luckily, I had left the campaign open and given it a July 31th ending date so we have decided to send an "end of the campaign request" to the filmmaking community to see if we can raise some funds. You can obviously disregard the initial request amount listed in the campaign as that would have been the case if we had the time to work on it.

Well here is my humble request: I know some of you have either worked, volunteered or contributed to the film already, so I am most grateful for your support and thank you, but for those who can and haven't, this would be a great time to do so. The film has been in the works for many years (as documented by its announcement by the lovely Chelsea Handler at my awards ceremony on the campaign's enclosed video) so the pressure is on to finish it.


I hope that you will help me with this endeavor any way you can and continue to support independent film. If you can't contribute (remember, no contribution is too small), please share the link and video with all your friends/family via email, Facebook (coming soon) or Twitter @looking4george. And remember, this is just a 1-day campaign, so time is of the essence.
