      Model Railway Express 3-Jan-2007

Mr. Hermann Schöntag and the insolvency administrator, Dr. Steffen
Goede, of the law firm Rechtsanwälte Dr. Goede, Bergfeld, Waldherr &
Hussmann, have announced that Mr. Schöntag was unanimously selected as
the purchaser of the German model railway manufacturer E.P. Lehmann,
at the creditors’ meeting a few days ago.

Hermann Schöntag is the owner of the Rügen Kleinbahn
(www.rasender-roland.de) and was, until a few months ago, publisher of
Germany’s largest railroad and model railroading magazine,
ModellEisenBahner. The announcement said that, given his outstanding
experience with both real railroads and model railroads, Mr. Schöntag
offers a wonderful opportunity for the success of Ernst Paul Lehmann
Patentwerk to the benefit of both its co-workers and customers.

At a factory meeting, the staff of Ernst Paul Lehmann Patentwerk
unanimously backed the sale to Mr. Schöntag. The vote at the
creditors’ meeting also secures the future of the Nürnberg facility
and the jobs of the staff there. Together, all will work for a
      successful transition.

This marks the end of another drama in the German model railway
industry where a falling market and rising costs against competition
from the Far East has seen dramatic changes over the last year.
Marklin, Roco, Fleischmann and LPG have all been affected.
