Re: Importance of "PAYA" in astrology
Dear Rakesh ji,
The results of these paya are:
taisey chaar chran yeh nama,
swarn loh chandi aru tamha,
loh charan par jab prabhu awey,
dhann jan sampati nasht karavey,
samta tamra rajat shubh kari,
svarn sarv sukh mangal bhari"
In order of beneficence Silver paya is considered best, then comes the copper paya; gold paya is next and the Iron paya the last.
There are two forms of designating Paya at the time of birth. It depends on the astrologer which form he is using.
Most common form is based on which house the Moon is from the Lagna.
Swarna Paad [ gold paya] Moon in 1st, 6th, 11th house from Lagna
Rajat Paad [silver paya] Moon in 2nd, 5th, 9th house from Lagna
Taamra Paad [copper paya] Moon in 3rd, 7th, 10th house from Lagna
Lauh Paad [ Iron paya ] Moon in 4th, 8th, 12th house from Lagna
The other form is based on the nakshatra the Moon is at the time of birth.
Silver Paya : Ardra, punarvasu, pushya, ashlesha, magha, poorva falguni, uttara falguni, hasta, chitra, swati, vishakha, and anuradha
Copper paya : Jyeshtha, moola, poorv ashad, uttar ashad, sharvan, dhanishtha, shatbhisha, poorva bhadra, and uttar bhadra
Gold paya : Revati, ashwin, and bharani
Iron paya : the rest of the nakshtra
God bless you
