      EFG1 Kayak Fishing Tournament

      Join us for the EFG1 kayak tournament to be held Sat July 28 at Bobby Lynn's Marina.  We are giving away a Jackson Cuda Kayak donated by Pack and Paddle to the Leopard Redfish winner.  $25 entry is open to the public and includes entry into the mulitspecies Heavy-Stringer category and the Leopard Redfish.  Heavy-Stringer (trout, red, flounder) rewards cash payouts.  Catch all 3 and have 2 bonus lbs added to your weight. Angler may launch anywere on Hwy 1 from Golden Meadow south to Elmers, Fourchon and Grand Isle.


      This tournament  is one of five events as part of the Cajun Kayak Angler Series.  Earn and accurue points just for fishing and win big prizes or cash at the end of the year.       This event
      adheres to rules outlined below and the club's "Series Rules" here:  

      1. ENTRY: $25 (+ $1.25 via PayPal) include 2 categories
      2. REGISTER: Open to public until Sat July 28, 5 a.m. 
      3. LEGAL LAUNCH TIME: 6 a.m. (you may sit in kayak/in water before 6 am, depart at 6 a.m.) 
      4. SIGN-IN: Anglers must sign-in between 2 - 3 p.m. at Bobby Lynn's Marina.  You must sign-in to receive series points regardless of whether you weigh fish or not.
      5. WEIGH-IN: Bobby Lynn's, 3 PM.  No culling at the weigh table.  Have your fish ready to weigh when called upon.   
      6. LAUNCH BOUNDARIES:Hwy 1 from Golden Meadow south to Elmers, Fourchon and Grand Isle.
      7. ACCEPTABLE TACKLE: Artifical Only
      8. LEGAL FISHING TIME: 6 a.m. - 3 p.m.
      9. PAYOUTS: 1st = 50% / 2nd = 30% / 3rd = 20% (based on <40 anglers). >40 anglers pays top 5 @ the following percentages: 40 / 25 / 20 / 10 / 5.
      10. HEAVY STRINGER: Calculated by the total weight of up to 3 species with a 2-fish minimum.  If you return with only 1 fish we will weigh it and it will count towards series points. NOTE: 1-Fish weights will fall under anyone weighing 2 or 3 fish.  The 3 fish allowed are: Redfish 16 to 27" / Speckled Trout 12" min / Flounder 12" min. 1 max of each species. Anglers who weigh all 3 (1 Red, 1 Trout 1 Founder) are rewarded with a 2# bonus added to their weight.  Anglers who weigh less than 3 do not receive the bonus.  Here are 2 examples:

        Angler #1 Ex:

        1) REDFISH: 3#
        1) SPECKLED TROUT: 4#. 
        1) FLOUNDER- 1#
        Total Weight: 3+4+1+2# Bonus= 10#

        Angler #2 Ex

        1) REDFISH: 7#
        1) SPECKLED TROUT (or Flounder): 5
        #Total Weight=12#
      11. LEOPARD RED- Total spots on an entered Redfish.  Redfish must be between 16-27".  Angler may enter 1 redfish which may not be used in the Heavy Stringer category.
