exchange information. The day begins with a community discussion about the
US Patriot Act, followed by a performance BB-Q (with all the fix1ins); a
site specific performance by radical butoh group Corpus Delicti,
      followed by
performances and installation at Highways and Crazy Space.

3-5pm: Highways hosts a community discussion about the US Patriot Act by
Refuse & Resist and facilitated by the Artist Network1s Mari Matsuoko.

5-8pm: Immediately following the discussion a no-host performance bb-q will
be available in the main parking lot of 18th Street Arts Center.

7pm: Radical butoh group, Corpus Delicti will perform a site-specific work
in the parking lot between Crazy Space and Highways.

8:00- 10:30pm: Curated by Lauren Hartman, Crazy Space presents Matt Lucero,
Evelyn Serrano & Yanira Cartagena. The exhibition features performance
actions, LCD displays and outdoor film projections.

8:30pm: Sandwiched between live vignettes by interdisciplinary artist Kat
Scraba, veteran performance artists Linda Albertano, Elia Arce, take the
stage along some of Southern California1s innovative poets and activists
including, KPFK1s Jerry Quickly, Café intifada curator and poet Emma
Rosenthal, Chilean muralist and poet Francisco Letelier and phenomacrat Tre
Temperilli. Lida Abdulla1s latest video project, Percision Painting will
      also be featured.

Highways Performance Space is located at the 18th Street Arts Center - 1651
18th Street, (1/4 Blk. N. of Olympic) in Santa Monica. Community dialogue
and Crazy Space exhibition are free of charge. Tickets for the performance
are $15 ($13 Students & Highways Members). Reservations are strongly
encouraged, and can be made by calling (310) 315.1459. No one will be
turned away for lack of funds. Performance BB-Q will offer plates of
      sizzling hot food for $5-$7.

      Kristina Sheryl Wong.
