      - Friends of the LA River founder, poet, and chairman LEWIS MACADAMS
      reading from his latest collection of LA River poetry 'The River: Books
      One, Two & Three' (Blue Press 2005). Excerpt: "The Voice of the River / is
      a red wing blackbird / twittering in the trash bags / festooned across the
      / branches of a cottonwood / like prayer flags."

      - Friends of the LA River walks leader and artist JOE LINTON reading from
      'Down By The Los Angeles River: Friends of the Los Angeles River's Official
      Guide' (Wilderness Press 2005). The first on-the-ground guide to the river
      - featuring walks, bikeways, historic bridges, and much more. Lavishly
      illustrated by the author.
