In order to generate enthusiasm for and interest in LA River revitalization, the City's Ad Hoc River Committee is hosting a series of presentations from cities with successful river revitalization projects. The third presentation will be a special double session with presentations on the Guadalupe River in downtown San Jose, California, and Brush Creek in Kansas City, Missouri. These successful river revitalization projects combine flood protection, open space, and community development.

Representatives from San Jose and Kansas City will present at a lunchtime meeting geared toward City staff, at the River Committee meeting that afternoon, and at a community meeting in the evening. Come on down and check out one of these presentations.

11:30am - Brown Bag Presentation geared to City Staff - City Hall Room 1035

2:00pm - Ad Hoc River Committee Meeting - City Hall Room 1010. Agenda will be posted at www.lacity.org/councilcmte/lariver

6:30pm - Community Meeting - Cypress Park Branch Library, 1150 Cypress Avenue, Los Angeles (Spanish Translation available) - Check out the brand new library!

All meetings are free and open to the general public. If you would like a flier and/or more information call 213.473.8230.
