Hi there, all you Barbershop and Acappella Fans,

You know, when the holiday season begins, I just love being able to bring our audiences the very best of the recorded holiday music.  We have so many people and groups to thank for providing great music for The "APPLAUSE" Show.

As most of you know, when we left the old station, we had to leave the library there, and we are so grateful to all the folks who have replenished the library here at WVRM Radio 1620AM and 91.9 FM in Upper Montclair , NJ.

I had the pleasure of being at the Annual Show (Their first in a while) of the Somertones in Somerville NJ last Saturday Night.  The show was a great success for the chapter that is directed by my able Producer, T.J. Barranger.  The Somertones, two chapter quartets and two selected octets kept the evening going.  Their guests were the Chamber Choir of Somerville High School, an auditioned group of 20 from the high school, directed by Karen Gorzinski who has had a program of barbershop music in her curriculum for years.  The male quartet and the fdemale quartet were excellent and the Chamber Choir was really remarkable,  We appreciate the chapter's hospitality in helping to promote thre radio show to their audience.

On Sunday, we traveled to Allendale, NJ to hear the holiday show of Ramapo Valley's Spotlight Chorus under the incredible direction of Renee Craig.  They featured the chorus, two chapter quartets, an ensemble, two soloists and the inimatable Rosie Smith as the MC.  Their guest artists was the auditioned Chamber  Choir from the Northern Highlands High School, a group of 24 wonderful musicians.  They performed only 5 numbers (a disappointment to these ears) but they were remarkable young voices who performed with energy and in tune singing.  Kudos to Ramapo for bringing these young people to our attention.

And just last night, we travelled to NYC (no they didn't have the Transit Strike) and we saw a wonderful show featuring two of our favorite groups from the a cappella world...Duwende and The Fonic.  We will be hosting Duwende  during one of our January Shows...we think you will really enjoy them.

We still have a number of the "John Lennon Limited Lithograph series" available for our supporters.  Check out the set of 4 lithographs by logging onto The "APPLAUSE" Show's website : www.harmonize.com/applauseshow
The purchase price is only $200.00 for the ability to own 1 (one) of only 300 sets ever produced.  And, as a bonus, The "APPLAUSE" Show gets a percentage of every sale.  These sets will never be produced again, so if you are a Beatles Fan or know somone who is, let them know.  When theya re gone, they are gone.

We would love to have you listening in tomorrow night.  We will be featuring holiday music for 4 1/2 hours....and you can request any artist or song you like during the evening.  We will do our best to get your request in line... This week we debut music from the Saint Louis Harmony Chorus, Ramapo Valley Spotlight, and Hampton Avenue....
