I just finished paying for 18 koma for the new takadai I'm going to be
building. I can't wait to get it finished so I can get to work making
some new braids. I've been a pretty heavy kumihimo 'junkie' for a little
over a year now. I've made about 50 braids, and find it very meditative.

I have been making braids for over 25 years and specialise in older and archaeological examples. I have recently started taking a deeper interest in Kumihimo, especially the braids woven on the Takedai, and joined so I could learn more. I'm experienced enough not to find the large loom daunting, and my father, a retired carpenter has offered to build me a loom from plans. Can anyone recommend me the best one?

                All suggestions appreciated :)
