Reading will be:
Barbara Reyes, whose book, GRAVITIES OF CENTER, has just
been published by Arkipelago
Angela Torres, who has forthcoming work in the Asia Pacific
American Journal and the North American Review
Eileen Tabios, with TWO forthcoming books, one of them her own
collection of short stories
Dawn Mabalon, currently completing a history dissertation at
Stanford and teaching a course on "Asian American Activism" while
holding Bindlestiff fundraisers (multi-taskers, take note!)
and Michelle Bautista, who, in addition to writing fantastic poetry, is
also a blog-master and kali expert
It should be a FUN evening, a chance to exchange good wishes with
women who work hard to put their poetry out there.
This will also be a wrap-up for a very successful fall reading series
for the book, in which no less than 26 of the anthology's 52
contributors read at readings in New York and San Francisco.
COMING UP: a January 10 reading at the Pacific Asia Museum in
Pasadena, featuring contributors Lilledeshan Bose, Cecilia
Brainard, Alison de la Cruz, Maiana Minahal, and a few others to be
