"Man Pleads Guilty in Jury Tampering"

The only person indicted by the grand jury investigating the Oklahoma City
bombing pleaded guilty Friday to jury tampering.
David Hoffman, 38, received a suspended sentence and 200 hours of community
service for his plea to the two misdemeanor counts.
Hoffman was charged with sending a letter and a copy of his book, "The
Oklahoma City Bombing and the Politics of Terror," to the home of an
alternate grand juror.
"They sentenced me to community service, but I think I have done the
biggest community service that any Oklahoman could do," Hoffman said after
Special District Judge Russell D. Hall accepted his plea. "I helped expose
a mass murder cover-up."
Hoffman's book dealt with a number of conspiracy theories about the April
19, 1995, bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building. The explosion
resulted in 168 deaths.
Both the FBI and the grand jurors, who met for 18 months, investigated the
theories and determined there was no evidence of government cover-up in the
