- Oct 3, 2013AlanThank you for replying. Of all the people around here, I wanted most to contact you... because you went thru the same thing last year.I would love to meet with you, talk with you, and maybe use a shoulder to cry on... (I been doing enough of that in the last month). I have many questions about what to do, where to go... and no one to turn to. Would you be willing to help me come to terms with my loss?I will check out the web site you suggested. I just don't know where to turn to, and maybe that will be a help.Let me know when you would be able to meet sometime. I have a meeting on Sat at 1PM, so will be tied up probably a good portion of the afternoon... but otherwise am available this week-end.Thank you...Dave

Dave,So sorry to hear about your wife. I also lost my wife last year, so I know the pain that you're going through, and that there are no words to ease it. Let me know when the memorial is.Here's a web site that I found very helpful: www.widowedvillage.org. There is a group of us in the area from the web site that get together for lunch once in a while, it's a good group. I'd love to have you join us.Alan"He that outlives a wife whom he has long loved, sees himself disjoined from the only mind that has the same hopes, and fears, and interest from the only companion with whom he has shared much good and evil and with whom he could set his mind at liberty, to retrace the past or anticipate the future. The continuity of being is lacerated the settled course of sentiment and action is stopped and life stands suspended and motionless."Samuel Johnson, 1709-1784From: "lb0157@..." <lb0157@...>

Subject: [knock_cachers] Caching in the skyI'm sure many people have heard the news by now... this message is for those many friends we have made in the caching community since we took up the hobby.
MuhLion!, Diane Carpenter, passed away the morning of Sept 8, 2013. She left us peacefully, surrounded by myself and her three children.
There will be no funeral. Per her wishes, she has been cremated, and her ashes will be scattered in accordance with her wishes at a time and location appropriate by the family.
There will probably be a memorial/remembrance held for her. If any of our many caching friends would like to attend, please contact me privately by email, and I will add you to a growing list of those who want to pay their last respects to her memory.
Muad'dib. Dave Carpenter
