Flexigidity: The Secret of Jewish Adaptability
With Gidi Grinstein, Founder & President of the Reut Institute
* Why are Jews so united yet divided?
* Why are Jewish communities similar yet no two are alike?
* Why is anti-Zionism as integral to Judaism as Zionism?
* Why is a vibrant Diaspora a Zionist imperative?
* Why is Judaism eternal in human terms?
In his new book Flexigidity: The Secret of Jewish Adaptability, Gidi Grinstein argues that this secret stems from the balance between flexibility and rigidity in Jewish society, which makes Judaism eternal in human terms.
This evening will be dedicated to exploring some of the ideas of FLEXIGIDITY and discussing their relevance to the American Jewry and the State of Israel.
Gidi Grinstein is the Founder & President of the Reut Institute, Israel's leading strategy and action group. Grinstein served as a Secretery of the Israeli Delegation for the Camp David Summit in 2000. He is a graduate of the Tel-Aviv University Schools of Law & Economics, and the Harvard Kennedy School of Government as a Wexner-Israel Fellow.
