As far as removing the glue from the chips, depending what it is. I
remved simialar stuff using exacto knife or an erasor- depanding what
stage and what is that stuff. Xykene might be of some help. Another
option is to take it to a friendly dentist and x-ray it. They might
be custom chips though.
My main problem in accepting a Brother original setup is that
entering the data on small keyboard (PPD) is an mundane task I
imagine. Playing with those disks back an forth is also rather
uninviting. Paying $450 fora DAK +100 for a cable is too much, for
whatever the reason. SPending time hacking into the knitting machine
is a lot of fun.
