  • performance-> i have 4 best 8/11/14/18 yarga/nemesis kites. they're great. ANY 2004 kite is better than any 2003 kite. and it will likely be the same with 05 kites. there is so much more difference in kites of different years than 2 kites of same year different brand. cost/ ROI-> you don't get much for any used kite anyways. there are so many people selling barely used stuff...

  • Today (december 11 04) I lost a cabrinha 130 Icon board on Hobie Beach, Key Biscayne. I was lofted off the board and lost sight of it. I eventually found 2 boards lost in similar conditions, but not mine... Another kiter thinks he saw it floating close to the beach. If you've found it, or seen it, please let me know. Thanks. • id recommend: 1- take lessons either from damian at eastcoastkiteboarding.com or in crandon/key biscayne 2- use teachers' gear before buying anyting. 3- when you learn get best kites, they're not too expensive and work for me. bestkiteboarding.com get 2 kites, (12 / 18) or 3 kites (11 / 14/ 18) or sizes depend on your weight. or buy used stuff. depends on your budget and how much...

  • i live in the US. this country is of course not perfect and man will never be perfect, but it is by far the most perfect society today. i consider myself lucky to be able to appreciate and not take my way of life for granted. i realize how lucky i am i wasn't born in an arab country, or in cuba, in a favela in brazil, in a slum in venezuela, etc. hey, for all i know i might get...

  • maybe YOU dont prefer US because you have the opportunity to choose where you want to live. but tell that to those living in poverty. or seen in a differente light; id rather take my 3,000 $ rig to a beach where it's more likely to be eaten by a shark then by a poor guy who makes 3k a year. and that's not US fault it's generations of corrupt goverments who mismanaged and/or stolen...

  • I'm latin american and still I think what Brazil is doing is very stupid. 1- 9/11 happened in USA not in brazil. Every single shitty regime in the world wants to blame US for all their shit, and many of them (mainly arabs) are willing to kill americans out of envy or whatever. 2- thousands and thousands of brazilians (and latins, and asians, etc etc etc) stay illegally in the US, i...

  • i just realized that recon "tangled bullet" issue may have been the reason why alex's kite suddenly launched off the water. he would have had no time to realize the lines were shorter, what was going on and how to control the kite. ( ** it's just a thought because i've only heard couple of rumors about how that accident happened)

  • i have a 17m co2 in miami. ive had 2 problems with the recon features: (1) today i was a bit overpowered (20-24kts) dropped the kite. when trying to relaunch with the recon systm i got tossed/dragged/thrown around quite a bit untill i realized it the lines on one side were somehow shorter. by then i had lost sight of my board in the waves and i had to body drag out of the water...

  • we'd fly (30 min) from caracas to los roques and stay there on a sailboat which would take us around the archipelago. we'd live on it during this time. also there are several "posadas" (small hotels) on the bigger islands. there are a couple of well known kitesurf spots (ie Madrisqui/ dos mosquises) close to Gran Roque (where aircraft usually land) but there are about 50 islands...
