Has anyone tried putting the foam tubes on the bottom of the ribs of the C Quad so that the front of the foam is under the main spar at the front of the kite.

Has anyone tried putting the foam tubes on the bottom of the ribs of
the C Quad so that the front of the foam is under the main spar at the
front of the kite. This would keep the leading edge of the kite out of
the water by a very small amount. Like in windsurfing once the leading
edge of the sail is free of the water so the wind can go under it the
sail is easily put into water start position. This would at least make
it easier to relaunch when the kite is facing the wind. This is also
assuming that the flotation is greater than the weight of the wet C
Quad. I also think that this would not affect the aerodynamics as much
as the foam on the leading edge since the foam would be parallel to the
wind direction. This is just a thought for you C Quad owners who might
      want to experiment a little.
