- I don't know if this counts, but in the mid 80's there was an English guy
who competed at the Weymouth Speed Sailing week using a stack of foils and a
pair of water skis I think it was known as 'Jacobs Ladder'. It was about the
time that Fred Haywood broke the 30 knot barrier on a windsurfer.
