Re: [ksurf] Center adjustment line keeps cutting: help!
- Samson Spectron 12 at www.pyacht.con or www.layline.com It's not prestretched rope, so anticipate
some readjustment after first use. It's the stuff used by some companies for leader line. It makes
strong chicken loop ropes.

Throw away the Cam Cleat. You will endup with lots of frustration and
wasting money. Buy an Airush depower strap and it will last a long
My set up is:
Airush depowering strap and chicken loop of 20" length of
sliding/usable part between the top and bottom.
Use the HOLT BULLEYE and clam this on to your control bar. Cover your
chicken loop with any PU tubing. This set up will make your chicken
loop last FOREVER.
You can buy all these parts at http://XtremeBigAir.com

up will allow you to use your bar and lines on any kite you want.
But for your problem, use a kevlar outside braid if you want--kind of
pricey though. Or use plain old yacht braid dacron. It will
stretch a little but for a 2 foot chicken loop line the stretch will
be way less than a half inch. Once stretched, always stretched! The
Spectra core is good but the sheathing you were using was
polypropolene which is made to float and not durable at all. I had
the same thing happen to me.

I was going to suggest the same thing. I've found Dacron (polyester)
is much more durable (for going through cleats AND for plain leaders).
I actually prefer a webbing/buckle adjustment if I'm going to have to
adjust it frequently while riding. I don't know about the Airush
strap cost, but I was surprized that ProLimit's setup is only $25!
(including swiveling trim loop, Velcro bar fitting with stainless
loops on EACH side for the webbing to run through, adjustment buckle
with backup strap, & even a plain leader line on top)
