I have been to cabarette and the place rocks, plenty of young kids on the beach to help carry your board and launch and catch your kite. accomo on kite beach is reasonable 10-30 bucks a night.from sa you can fly capetown miami, miami-dr is a one hr. flight.going back you may have to connect in atlanta which could be a pain
for an awesome kitesurfing travel guide i found kiteh20.com in a pohm windsurfmag.
good luck boet

Subject: [ksurf] Cabarete-DR or Corralejo-Canaries
Am considering a 2-3week kitesurfing holiday in May/June.
Am looking for warm air and water, learner/intermediate conditions,
board/kite rental, safe conditions i.e.not cross offshore winds onto a coral
reef!, no crowding, obviously steady moderate wind, reasonable accomadation
and rental costs as our SA Rands are worthless!, and no customers!
Went to Corralejo,Flag Beach, on Feurteventura last May and it was great,
fulfilling most of the above, plus the beach scenery is awsome!!! But 3
flights each way :-(
Have been told/read that Cabarete is similar.
Which is the better spot or has anyone got a better suggestion? Oz,
Thanks in advance
