There are probably about 60 kitesurfer's here now, everyday there seems to
be another one or two people joining us, and there are currently 4 regular
lady kiters with a couple others on the odd occasion.
The conditions are consistent but light, and normally directly onshore. We
mainly use 19.5/17.5 ARX and have a 13.5/11.5 as a small kite. These sizes
are for 80kg guys, and the wind is normally
8 to 12, and this time of the year we get some 12 to 20 knot days, like we
had today. The water is often flat but we had 7Ft narley waves today, Dec to
Feb is the windy season.
Summer is hot, 45C, but we had very consistent wind last year which starts
blowing onshore everyday from 12 noon.
Bin the veil Dubai is very liberal and has a similar lifestyle to OZ/South
Africa without the wind, but bring your bikini, good sun cream and a rash
shirt(for the sun). The weekends are either Thurs/Friday or Friday/Sat
depending on which company you work for.
There are two kiteshops, Naish and Cabrinha.

Subject: [ksurf] Dubai???
Am thinking of moving to Dubai. Anyone kitesurfed there, or even
just lived there. Will I die trying to kite in the full black veil?
Anyone with any info please mail me privately.
