Question: The social compact of White America was seriously challenged in the late 1700s, but how did it manage to survive?

      Answer:

Beginning in George Washington's time, the patriots took full advantage of the local freemason halls to organize their defense, and any modern visitor to Washington DC who looks close enough is going to notice an extraordinary number of sites associated with that invisible tradition; including the original perfect square design of the city itself, the capitol building's corner stone, and the Washington Monument.

The last of these masonic sites is by law the highest structure permitted, and during the civil war it remained incomplete until the conflict was decided.

And despite Albert Pike's service with the confederacy as a general, because he was the leading scholar and author of masonic materials in the nineteenth century, not only are his works still in use by many lodges today but he is also the ONLY Confederate general to have a statue honoring him in Washington. DC. This statue is located in Judiciary Square. And that is quite appropriate, as Pike served as a chief judicial officer of the Ku Klux Klan as well (references follow).

Throughout history the founding father's ideals - in politics, religion, race, and the invisible aspect - have been claimed by a number of contestants:

      * In 1833 the Skull & Bones fraternity was founded on the Yale campus. It avails itself of Germanic relics, some trappings of Masonry, and the music of "Deutschland Uber Alles."

      * In 1844 the Mormon religion absorbed the rituals of the Masonic lodge of Nauvoo, Illinois right along with its White racial orientation.

      * In 1854 the Knights of the Golden Circle, a kind of proto-Klan, was founded in Cincinnati and spread nationally.

      * Then after the Civil War many other interpretations also emerged; including the Ku Klux Klan under Nathan Bedford Forrest, fraternal klans at the turn of the century; and the klans which militantly opposed the dismantling of close-proximity segregation while frequently operating under the approval of lawfully elected state governors and their police departments.

      * The Odd Fellows uniforms of the 1880s were in practically every detail like klan uniforms.

      * On the Internet the first proponent of a partly invisible tradition for Whites was Stormfront, with both a public and private forum for supporters, and it remains the leading proponent.

      * Additionally, the proposal for actual Stormfronts of the street (or PLEs), adhering to essentially the same rules of dialogue, has been well received by White Nationalists throughout the world.
