      Hi,

Fall Season (August-November) sightings from the Kern River Preserve and
vicinity are now being posted at:
      http://www.valleywild.org/fall_2003.htm

Information on this web page includes banding results for six hummingbird
species banded by the Hummingbird Research Group during their 5th Biennial
Conference held in the South Fork Kern River Valley and Greenhorn Mountains.

Still present as of Monday, August 18, 2003: Yellow-billed Cuckoo (adults with
fledglings), Willow Flycatcher (adults with nestlings), Brown-crested
Flycatcher, Summer Tanager (coming to the grape arbor at KRP Headquarters),
      and
      Blue Grosbeak (numerous).

      Happy & Productive Birding.

      Best,

      Bob
