Galileo Today (10/1)
- Galileo today held some good birds:
DICKCISSEL (Liga Auzins and I found a young male working the fringe of the dry soccer pond; we had it early morning, and then again mid-morning)
PROTHONOTARY WARBLER (continued high up in the willows where the creek runs into the main lake; another group had it a short time later high up in the cottonwoods of the stable lawn; not being very cooperative, today)
MAGNOLIA WARBLER (Liga Auzins and Dick Norton found a young female working the trees along the creek that borders the stable lawn; this bird is noticeably different from the one that was present Friday-Sunday)
BALTIMORE ORIOLE (Steve Summers had a female early this morning working the trees around the shooting range; the bird then flew towards the petting zoo and could not be relocated)
No sign of the Tennessee, Parula, or Red-eyed Vireo.
Best of luck!
