      Hi,

The 2006 North American Butterfly Association (NABA) biennial meeting has been
moved from Kernville, California to western Massachusetts.

The above is due to the fact that the only Kernville meeting place large
      enough
to accommodate the expected 200-225 attendees will be closed January through
      September 2006 for major renovations.

Although Kernville may be considered for a future NABA biennial meeting,
existing Kern River Valley facilities may prove to be too small to accommodate
the rapidly growing attendance at NABA biennial meetings.

Thank you to NABA President Jeff Glassburg and NABA Board Member Fred Heath
      for
their efforts to have Kernville serve as the initial location for the 2006
      NABA
      meeting.

Jeff Glassburg invites all of us in California to attend the 2006 NABA meeting
in western Massachusetts and search for, among others, Bog Elfins and Early
      Hairstreaks.

      Happy and Productive Butterflying,
