The female BLACK AND WHITE WARBLER was refound in California City
last weekend and was seen again this morning, 12/1. Two male
VERMILION FLYCATCHERS are also being seen regularly, there.
Otherwise, the desert is in fine winter fettle. GOLDEN-CROWNED
KINGLETS are about. A VERDIN was in the trees at Galileo Hill. A
beautiful hybrid MALLARD X NORTHERN PINTAIL is also being seen, with
a bronze-green head, the white neck pattern of the pintail, a small
curly sprig, and the body of a mallard. Really stunning. The
resident ROSS'GOOSE in CalCity has been joined by two more. And a
SNOW GOOSE is now present there.
